After winning Celebrity Masterchef, the face of the GoCompare adverts Wynne Evans told fans that he attempted suicide when he was previously battling with depression
The latest Celebrity Masterchef winner has revealed that he once tried to take his own life battling depression.The Welsh singer and radio DJ spoke candidly about his struggles after he was crowned the winner on Friday night by judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
Speaking after the win, he said: "I was crying and all of this kind of stuff, but it was just an amazing journey. This isn't the first time the TV star has spoken out about his mental health. Earlier in the year, he said he was at his lowest during the breakdown of his marriage in 2016. He added: "I was feeling suicidal, and it was terrible. I just thought, I'm either going to do something terrible or I need to go and see a proper psychiatrist."
