All are invited to view a special birthday broadcast in honor of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Russell M. Nelson , as he celebrates one century of life.On July 1, President Nelson invited people to come together and honor his 100th birthday "by reaching out to 'the one' in need, just as the Savior did."President Russell M.
In the parable of the lost sheep, the Savior urged His followers to help those in need just as a compassionate shepherd would tend to his sheep, striving to rescue the one that strayed from the herd of 99. President Nelson encourages people to share their experience of reaching out to "the one in need" on social media, using the hashtag #99Plus1.
The 75-minute program on Sept. 9 will honor President Nelson's life and teachings, whose work has demonstrated God's love for all His children. The broadcast will feature stories from individuals who have been impacted by his message and have participated in global commemorations over the past 100 days.
