CLEVELAND, Ohio — In the heat of the moment, Cedric Tillman didn’t even think to grab one of the footballs he scored with.The second-year receiver out of Tennessee scored two touchdowns — including the 38-yard game-winner with 59 seconds to play. They were the first two TDs of his career. He finished with 99 yards, a career-best, and caught seven of nine targets.

The game-winning TD couldn’t have been a better setup for Tillman, as he drew Ravens safety Eddie Jackson in single coverage with the Browns facing second-and-15. Tillman’s first touchdown came in the third quarter, a 22-yarder off a simple slant route that put the Browns up 20-17.. Through Cleveland’s general offensive struggles, it took a long time to get here, even though Tillman was one of the stars of the Cleveland offseason.
The exit of Cooper, the Browns' former No. 1 receiver, has also played a huge role in the offense’s inconsistency in recent weeks. Maybe nothing is a better indicator of how hard Tillman worked to get to Sunday than the excitement of his teammates in the aftermath.
