PHOTO GALLERY: Cedar Point reveals 2023 plans for new roller coaster, ‘Boardwalk’ pavilion
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Officials with Sandusky’s Cedar Point announced new plans for family-friendly rides and attractions that will debut in the 2023 season.“The Boardwalk” midway will be located on the amusement park’s lakeside and is described as a “modern interpretation of the Cedar Point of yesteryear,” featuring new ride, dining, and entertainment venues.According to the park:
“The spins, dips, drops and hairpin turns of Wild Mouse will thrill coaster lovers young and young-at-heart. Standing 52 feet tall, the Wild Mouse ride experience is an unpredictable game of ‘cat and mouse,’ complete with six mouse-themed cars and one cheese-themed car. The coaster’s free-form spinning action changes with the number of riders aboard each car, providing one-of-a-kind experiences with no two rides being exactly the same.
Both Matterhorn and the soon-to-be-renamed “Atomic Scrambler” will be relocated to the Boardwalk. Additionally, Tiki Twirl will be renamed to Calypso to honor a former park classic.
