The recently opened — and heavily hyped — Top Thrill 2 coaster will be closed for a 'mechanical modification' to the ride's vehicles.The amusement park announced earlier this month that a mechanical issue forced the park to close the ride for an extended time. Top Thrill 2 debuted when the park opened for the season on May 4.
Top Thrill 2 replaced the Top Thrill Dragster rollercoaster, which closed in August 2021 after an incident in which a bracket came off the ride and Riders will immerse themselves as they join the CP Racing Team and climb into one of three, sleek high-performance racing vehicles. Each of Top Thrill 2’s trains will feature open-air seating, providing heart-pounding views on the world’s first and only dual-tower vertical speedway.
