A 35-year-old technician was arrested for allegedly grabbing the private part of a 16-year-old girl in Cebu City , Philippines . The incident occurred around 6:20 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, along F. Cabahug Street in Barangay Kasambagan. The suspect, identified as Joeren, a resident of Laray II, Barangay Buanoy in Balamban City, was celebrating Valentine's Day in jail, according to the Mabolo police.

During the investigation, the police reported that while the victim was standing to retrieve her cellphone, the suspect suddenly approached and grabbed her private part. The victim immediately informed her live-in partner, leading to the suspect's arrest and detention at the Mabolo Police Station. However, the suspect vehemently denied the allegations during an interview with DyHP on the same day, claiming that he only touched the victim's front. Despite the suspect's denial, he will still face charges for Acts of Lasciviousness under Republic Act 7610, which pertains to Child Abuse. In another incident, a 24-year-old man, known as Jan-jan, was also arrested for allegedly grabbing the arm of a 22-year-old woman, identified as In-in. The victim was walking back to her apartment when the suspect approached her and committed the assault. The incident took place in Barangay Tabok, Mandaue City around 5 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Both the victim and the suspect are residents of the same area. The victim immediately reported the incident to the Mandaue Police Station 3. As a result, the suspect was apprehended around 10 PM on the same day and will face charges for his actions.
