CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella has announced the possible extension of the enhanced community quarantine as the city’s positive cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 continues to rise.
The mayor said there is a need to extend the ECQ as the situation of the city remains uncertain while the mass testing continues and positive cases are being identified every single day. However, the mayor reserves the right to lift the ECQ or extend it further if the need arises. If the cases go down, the ECQ may be lifted anytime.
