Saskatchewan Rattlers battle the Edmonton Stingers for a Canadian Elite Basketball League Western Conference playoff spot.
A pair of clutch free-throws by Michael Nuga put the finishing touches on a crucial victory by the Saskatchewan Rattlers over the Edmonton Stingers on Thursday.The two points were just enough for the Rattlers to reach the Elam-ending target score of 86 in an 86-85 victory before 4000 fans in Edmonton.
It was the second straight win for the Rattlers, who have five games remaining in the regular season and four of those on home-court. Nuga came off the bench to score 20 points to go along with six rebounds, one blocked shot, one assist and two steals. Marquis Collins had seven points and five rebounds for the Rattlers. Trey Niemi added six points and Quenton Decosey chipped in with five points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal.
