Penfield, N.Y. A local bus driver is facing a pair of charges for allegedly inappropriately touching a passenger with disabilities over the summer.
Ronald Metzler, 71, a CDS Monarch bus driver from Fairport, is accused of groping a passenger with developmental and intellectual disabilities July 11, 2023.
Penfield, N.Y. — A local bus driver is facing a pair of charges for allegedly inappropriately touching a passenger with developmental and intellectual disabilities over the summer, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrested Ronald Metzler, 71, of Fairport, a bus driver for CDS Monarch. He's accused of groping a disabled, nonverbal woman over her clothes while she was riding in Metzler's bus July 11, 2023.Metzler is charged with felony endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and misdemeanor forcible touching. He was reportedly issued an appearance ticket and released.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims from similar incidents involving Metzler. Anyone with information is asked to call MCSO at 753-4178 or email [email protected].
