BA.2 subvariant now responsible for one-third of COVID cases in U.S., says CDC

The BA.2 subvariant now makes up an estimated 34.9% of COVID-19 cases in the U.S., according to the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That's up from the estimated 23.1% of new cases reported a week ago. BA.
