The 18-year-old victim was left needing stitches after the assault
Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a woman was knocked out with a handbag outside a Nottingham club. near Rock City in Talbot Street at around 2.45am on Friday, February 23.
She was reportedly trying to break up a fight before another woman struck her in the head with a handbag. Nottinghamshire Police said she lost consciousness "multiple times" following the blow and sustained a "nasty gash" to her head. The force has now released two images of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with the assault. Chief Inspector Karl Thomas said: “We would urge anyone who saw what happened, or who recognises the woman in these pictures, to get in touch with us immediately.
“The nightclub would’ve still been busy at the time, so we do believe multiple people will have seen this attack take place. A woman had to be taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining a nasty blow to the head during this incident. “Clearly that’s not acceptable, so we’d ask anyone who has any information to please let us know by calling the police on 101, quoting incident 263 of 23 February 2024."
