Republicans lead Democrats by two points on the generic congressional ballot, according to a CBS News poll released Sunday.

Additionally, President Joe Biden’s approval rating is ten points underwater — 45 percent approve to 55 percent disapprove — while more than half the voters said they would heavily base their vote in November on how they feel about the president. The poll was taken from August 24 to 26 and surveyed 2,126 registered voters in the United States, with a margin or error of plus or minus 2.4 percent.
