U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Air and Marine Operations, Border Patrol, and Homeland Security Investigations intercepted a boat smuggling 64 migrants near Puerto Rico, the Trump administration The boat was boarded on May 9, and 58 migrants from the Dominican Republic and six from Haiti were apprehended, according to CBP. The migrants were processed at the Ramey Border Patrol Station in Puerto Rico for removal proceedings.
"MASSIVE SMUGGLING ATTEMPT STOPPED," the Department of Homeland Security said in a post on X regarding the interdiction. "Our borders are CLOSED.
