Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson has been named the NBA Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for games played in October and November.

Atkinson helped lead the Cavs to a 17-3 record through the months of October and November. Their 12 wins in November marked the second-most wins in Cavs history, the current record is 13 wins which was set in November of 2008. The Cavs led the NBA in October and November in points per game , field goal percentage and three-point percentage .
Cleveland also ranked in the top 10 in the NBA in steals per game , turnovers per game , assist to turnover ratio and defensive rating . Atkinson becomes the first Cavaliers coach to earn the coach of the month award since J.B.
