Cavite 6th District Representative Luis 'Jon-Jon' Ferrer IV is the 6th House member to become infected with the coronavirus.
Cavite 6th District Representative Luis"Jon-Jon" Ferrer IV announced on Sunday, August 30, that he tested positive for the coronavirus., Ferrer recounted that he had exhibited flu-like symptoms, which prompted him to get tested for COVID-19.
"Nitong nakalipas na mga araw ay nakaramdam po ako ng mga flu-like symptoms kaya minabuti ko po na mag-isolate at sumailalim sa RT-PCR swab test. Kagabi po ay pinagbigay-alam sa 'kin ng mga doktor na ako po ay positibo sa COVID-19,"The lawmaker is currently confined in a medical facility. He also noted that his district office would be closed temporarily.
The city health office in General Trias City, which Ferrer represents, is now doing contact tracing. The congressman called on those who had contact with him in the last 14 days to coordinate with the city health office, and self-isolate if needed.
