A masked woman stole a French bulldog from a North Hollywood home in a brazen theft caught on camera.
The dognapping happened Tuesday around 7:43 p.m., according to a timestamp on the surveillance video.
Footage shows the woman enter the property's gated backyard, pick up the pup from its dog house without hesitation and then calmly walk away. The owner is devastated by the theft and hopes to be reunited with the beloved pet as soon as possible. Owner Jason Bitonio said two women were involved in stealing his dog, but only one was captured on video.Bitonio said the hardest thing was explaining what happened to Domino to his 5-year-old son.
"Tears came down," Bitonio recalled. "He's like, 'What do you mean he's gone? What do you mean he's not coming back?'" The family reported the theft to police and flyers have been posted appealing for help from anyone who spots Domino.
