Shadow attorney-general Michaelia Cash says the government's refusal of additional flights from Qatar has led to a concerning pattern of secrecy. She believes Catherine King should be summoned to the inquiry, noting that lower house and Senate ministers have previously participated in such proceedings. 'Unfortunately, what you saw today, with Catherine King effectively blocking a department from giving evidence, I think, now demands that she herself from the Senate inquiry answers some very, very simple questions,' Ms Cash told Sky News Australia. 'Questions to date that the public is screaming out for answers for why did you deny it cheaper airfares. 'For some reason, the government can't answer.'
