He was nominated for the best kwaito single album award for the track Uthando and the best kwaito artist award at the 2019 Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards. The song, which was released about a month ago, already has more than 6 000 views on YouTube, and carries a personal message for Jakarumba: “As I was talking to Professor regarding this song, and talking generally about Joburg, I thought of an incident when I was once hijacked.”
“Their women end up going after the ones with money and those who are able to buy them champopo,” he says.
