The circus truck had been parked across the street from the City Heights police substation Friday night.
CITY HEIGHTS, Calif. — The catalytic converter from the Fern Street Circus' box truck was stolen overnight as performers prepared for a free neighborhood event, according to a spokesperson.
Saturday's event still showcased juggling, clowns, tumbling, tightwire performances and more for families at the park. The nonprofit, based in City Heights, has been serving San Diego families for 30+ years performing in underserved neighborhoods and teaching circus arts in its signature after-school programs which are also free of charge.
