Bridges, a cat found stranded on an Interstate 10 overpass, was rescued last Friday by Animal Care Services.A furry feline needed the help of Animal Care Services last week after he got stranded on the ledge of a central San Antonio overpass, ACS said Tuesday.
The cat, now named Bridges, was pulled to safety by ACS last Friday after they received a 3-1-1 call about a stranded cat on an overpass with no escape, ACS said in aOfficers found Bridges on an overpass ledge on Interstate 10 near Cincinnati Avenue. ACS said they were able to approach Bridges without scaring him into jumping off.
“Though Bridges wasn’t ready to completely trust the officers at first, he readily allowed them to pick him up once he realized they were there to rescue him,” ACS said.Bridges was taken to the animal emergency room, where he was evaluated. ACS said it's not clear how long he was on the overpass without food and water.
