Monroe Township Firefighters Local 4250 responded on Monday to a house fire in Licking County, and arrived to find the large home engulfed in flames.On Tuesday, however, the homeowners heard “faint meowing” coming from inside and called the fire department for help entering the heavily burned home to retrieve it. An Ohio family displaced by a devastating house fire on Monday got a “moment of hope” on Tuesday after finding their cat still alive in the ruins of the structure, officials said.“Our crew returned and, after a careful search through the damaged structure, found their cat alive and brought them out to safety,” the fire department said. A photo shared by the fire department shows a rescuer carrying the distressed cat out from a lower level of the home, surrounded by ash and debris. “Yesterday’s fire was devastating for this family, but today brought a moment of hope,” the fire department said. “A reminder that even in the hardest moments, there can still be something to hold onto.”Father of missing Morenci boys now facing homicide charges
