Police said one of the home invaders was caught by patrol officers and help from their K9 unit. The other, according to Houston PD Lt. Horelica “played a cat and mouse game with patrol officers and the K9 officers.”At one point, the home invader climbed a tree, still armed, and refused to come down. The SWAT team was called and so were negotiators to try and get him to come down.
We’re told “flash bangs,” which are less lethal weapons, and 40mm bean bags were fired. The home invader eventually gave himself up a little after 12:30 a.m. and was treated for any injuries by EMS officials before being taken into custody.No one else was injured during the incident. It’s unclear what charges both home invaders will face and other than them being described as men, their identities have not been disclosed, as of this writing.
