Castle Hills police said they're monitoring a possible social media threat was made against a local school, according to the Castle Hills Police Department. CASTLE HILLS, Texas — Castle Hills police said they're monitoring a possible social media threat made against a local school, according to a Facebook post by the Castle Hills Police Department.

On Tuesday the department said over the past 24 hours they have been monitoring an "ambiguous" social media post referencing a possible threat to a school in the Castle Hills area. Police said there is currently no threat however they are taking the matter seriously and increasing officer presence in the area. The department said they are in communication with Northeast Independent School District, the San Antonio Police Department, and the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. A spokesperson for NEISD said there was no direct threat made against any of their schools. As a precaution, the district increased patrols at their campuses in the Castle Hills area and notified parents. Antonian College Preparatory High School said they've been working with police and are resuming all indoor and outdoor activities as normal, according to aBULVERDE, Texas - Hill College Prep High School has been put on lockdown.Principal Julie Wiley said in the alert that local law enforcement is on campus.
