These actors could remake the first POTC movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl has an outstanding cast, but plenty of other actors could fill the roles if a remake of the movie ever occurred. Pirates of the Caribbean has blossomed into one of the most lucrative movie franchises in history, but The Curse of the Black Pearl is still the best film in the series. With that in mind, if a remake ever materialized, it would need to be cast very carefully so as not to ruin the legacy of this legendary movie.
9 Fabien Frankel As Will Turner As for Will Turner, Fabien Frankel would make a great fit. Frankel recently rose to prominence for playing Ser Criston Cole in House of the Dragon, which is a comparable role to Will Turner. Like Will, Criston Cole begins as an innocent young man with good intentions whose only wish is to live honorably. Both of them fall in love with a woman above their station, and both change rapidly as they experience the harsh reality of life.
7 Tom Hardy As Barbosa Tom Hardy, who is often remembered for his portrayal of the quotable Alfie Solomons in Peaky Blinders and Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, would make the perfect Captain Barbosa in a remake of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Hardy has the right voice for the role, and his natural charisma would fit Barbosa's character like a glove.
4 Michael Caine As Governor Weatherby Swann Governor Weatherby Swann, Elizabeth's father, could easily be portrayed by the great Michael Caine. The actor seems to hit every part he plays out of the park, truly embodying the roles he plays. Caine's many roles in Christopher Nolan movies, like Alfred from The Dark Knight Trilogy, provide some excellent examples of how he becomes inextricable from the characters he plays.
