AKRON, Ohio — A convenience store cashier reportedly being threatened by a customer in an argument over incorrect change fired a handgun, critically wounding another person who wasn’t involved in the dispute, police say.
The cashier pulled out a handgun and a shot was fired, hitting another customer uninvolved in the dispute in the chest. The 48-year-old man was taken to Summa Health Akron City Hospital and was last listed in critical condition.
