La Casa Blanca condenó el martes un choque violento en el consulado chino en San Francisco, donde un hombre embistió con un auto la entrada del lugar.
En medio de una escena caótica, la policía hirió de bala al conductor, que murió más tarde en un hospital. “Condenamos este incidente y toda la violencia perpetrada contra personal diplomático extranjero que trabaja en Estados Unidos”, dijo la vocera del Consejo Nacional de Seguridad, Adrienne Watson.
La policía de San Francisco dijo el lunes que no sabía por qué el conductor arremetió contra el frente del consulado, situado en un barrio residencial cerca de una arteria importante. El consulado dijo en un comunicado que se trató de un “ataque violento”.
