Andi Mack and Doogie Kamealoha M.D. star Peyton Elizabeth Lee is set for the lead role in Hulu horror comedy Carved, out later this year.
The story of Carved sees a heartbroken teenage playwright, her younger brother, and a group of survivors trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night. Now, they must band together to survive a relentless attack by a sentient and vengeful pumpkin.Writer and director Justin Harding is adapting from his own 2018 short created for Hulu’s Bite Size Halloween. Cheryl Meyer will co-write the script.
Harding is making his feature debut, having helmed award-winning shorts and television series episodes. His credits include Kookie, Latched, The Haunted Mansion series, and Restaurants on the Edge. Joining Lee in the cast are Corey Fogelmanis , Wyatt Lindner , Carla Jimenez , Sasha Mason , Jonah Lees , DJ Qualls , Marc Sully Saint-Fleur , Elvis Nolasco , Matty Cardarople , Jackson Kelly , and Chris Elliott .
Carved is part of WorthenBrooks’ first-look horror slate with Hulu Originals. The film was developed by WorthenBrooks, with David Brooks, Debbie Liebling, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle serving as producers. Miles Alva is an executive producer, with Lorne Raimi, Alex Hansen, and Nick Page co-producing.Neil became a horror fan from just a nightmare-inducing glimpse of the Ghoulies VHS cover and a book on how to draw ghosts.
