Alongside Underwood, two of the president-elect's favorite musical artists, country singer Lee Greenwood and opera singer Christopher Macchio, will also be gracing the stage. Underwood, who rose to fame after appearing on American Idol, is scheduled to perform shortly before Trump takes the oath of office at the U.S.
Capitol on January 20th, according to a copy of the inaugural program obtained by The Associated Press. The inauguration festivities will officially commence this weekend in Washington with a series of events culminating in the swearing-in ceremony. These include a fireworks display at Trump's golf club in Sterling, Virginia, a campaign-style rally in the nation's capital, a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, and several lavish dinners.
