Police have cordoned off the block bordered by Willow, West, Ridge and Pitt streets as they search for a man wanted on multiple felony warrants. Carlisle Borough police are asking residents to stay indoors and keep their doors locked due to a police incident in the area of South Pitt Street and West Ridge Street.
Police are looking for Jarrek Anderson, 18, whom they said is wanted on numerous felony warrants and is in the area.A PennLive reporter at the scene noted a helicopter flying overhead as well as numerous state police vehicles also in the area.The Unified Judicial System shows Anderson has one warrant in Cumberland County pertaining to misdemeanors endangering the welfare of children, and simple assault.The police cordon stretches from Willow, West, Ridge and Pitt streets in the borough.
Police tried serving the warrants on Anderson after an incident that led to felony firearms charges this past weekend, according to Jamie DiMartile, a Carlisle police officer. Anderson fled from officers, but not before they set up a perimeter.
