Carlee Russell, the Alabama woman who reportedly had gone missing earlier this month while looking for a toddler, was never missing, authorities said on Monday.

Derzis said police have a meeting with Anthony scheduled to discuss the case, and they are in discussions with the Jefferson County District Attorney's office over "possible criminal charges related to this case." He said there is no meeting with Russell or her family at present.The press conference on Monday came afterRussell also made searches related to bus tickets in the hours before she went missing, Derzis said.
"She stated when she got out of her vehicle to check on the child, a man came out of the trees and mumbled that he was checking on the baby. She claimed that the man then picked her up, and she screamed," he said at the time.
