Fisher told Insider that when he learned about the incident he was initially just worried about damage to the"I ended up getting a video sent to me from my shop manager who said 'Hey Scott, just letting you know that one of our mics got tossed,'" Fisher said."The last time I got those microphones, which was earlier this year, it took 9 or 10 months back order.
Fisher said it was easy to identify which mic was thrown by its markings and label, and it does still work. It was only later, though, after the video went viral and people started asking to buy the mic or telling him he should sell it, that he decided to put it up for auction and give theFisher said he's amazed that it's gotten as much traction as it has, but has doubt over whether or not the bidders are actually serious about it.
"It's been ridiculously insane," Fisher said."As long as somebody actually pays for it, some people are going to benefit, hopefully, from the money." Fisher plans on keeping just enough of the money to recoup his cost and replace the mic. The rest, he said, he plans on splitting between two charities: the first is a local Jewish charity called
