The Premier League's biggest clubs will enter the competition in the third round.
The draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup takes place this evening following Nottingham Forest's second round clash with Newcastle.The third round fixtures will be staggered across two midweeks in September due to the previously mentioned changes to the Champions League and Europa League.Here are the all important ball numbers for tonight's draw. There's a few second round matches still taking place, including Nottingham Forest against Newcastle.
11. Everton, 12. Fleetwood Town, 13. Fulham, 14. Leicester City, 15. Leyton Orient, 16. Liverpool, 17. Manchester City, 18. Manchester United, 19. Preston North End, 20. Queens Park Rangers The six teams competing in the Champions League and Europa League will be drawn from a separate bowl to the rest of the teams in the Carabao Cup third round, as a result of changes to the European competitions this season.
As a result, those teams will be kept apart in the third round to avoid fixture clashes later this season.
