Police said the people inside the Scion were seriously injured. One of them, Gudino, later died at a nearby hospital. The driver of the Avalanche had minor injuries. Now, two-and-a-half weeks later, her friends and classmates from Peoria High School gathered to put on a car wash and raise money to help Gudino's family with her funeral expenses.
"They're winning to serve one another, to sacrifice a little bit of their time for the betterment of others," Peoria High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Jacob Holliday said."And this also just shows everybody how much we love each other.
