Officers are keen to trace a man seen in the area at the time and have asked for the public's assistance in tracing him.

A car was torched in a West Dunbartonshire village in a wilful fire raising incident on Monday evening.

Emergency services were called to Lusset Road in Old Kilpatrick at around 9.25pm on October 23, following reports of a fire. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished the fire.Read more: Person hospitalised as special response units called to busy west end streetHe is described as being around 5ft 8 to 6ft in height and was wearing a dark hooded top with his hood up, blue jogging bottoms and dark trainers.

Detective Constable Darren Campbell, of Clydebank CID, said: “Thankfully, no- one was injured as a result of this completely reckless act. “I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or who may have private CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”
