Upon arrival at 3:29 a.m. Friday, firefighters found a car that was completely submerged in the lake.
Hanover Area Fire & Rescue removed a vehicle from Lake Marburg at the intersection of Blooming Grove Road and Smith Station Road in Penn Township, York County early Friday morning.The driver was able to exit the vehicle prior to the vehicle sinking, and wasn’t injured, according to Hanover Area Fire & Rescue.
“Our volunteer dive team responded to assist with removing the vehicle from the water. SCUBA 79 and a crew of six volunteer dive team members arrived and set up for dive operations, with a diver entering the water, finding the car, and attaching it to the tow cable from Mike’s Towing,”The York County hazmat team was alerted as a precaution in the event of a fuel leak, but no fuel or other leak was detected in the water, according to Hanover Area Fire & Rescue.
