Several people were injured after a car crashed into a popular sandwich shop in suburban Hinsdale on Monday.
The restaurant — identified as Fontano's Subs — is located at Chicago Ave. and Lincoln St., just north of the Burlington Northern train tracks.
Additionally, three people inside the restaurant were struck by the vehicle or debris from the accident. They were transported to Downers Grove Hospital in serious condition."I am at a loss for words," said Dominic Fontano, visibly shaken, as he rushed back to the horrific scene after a black Jeep crashed into his family's sandwich shop from Fuller's Car Wash.
It is believed that the Jeep left Fuller's Car Wash, and from there, it kept going and stopped in the dining room area of the restaurant. The driver did try to help but was dazed.
