Car crashes into E 114th family home, leaving them to pick up the pieces.
Published: Jun. 14, 2024 at 4:53 PM EDTCLEVELAND, Ohio - 19-year-old Geremiah Stokes was sitting in his driveway in his car listening to music.When he focused his eyes on what the lights were attached to– it was too late.
A car had crashed into Stokes at 4 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the vehicle, left the scene before officers arrived to assess the damage. “The real world doesn’t really tell you what you need to know if stuff happens like this, because there’s so much other stuff that they don’t say behind the scenes,” Stokes said.“I just feel like a loss, you know? All my hard work– just gone. Just like that,” Stokes said.“Being at home you think your home is your sanctuary, you’re supposed to be safe and protected,” Gena Stokes said.
