'Captain Marvel' and 'Us' led the second-biggest March at the box office of all time after a slow start to 2019.
"All told, March helped turn the tables on what was a slower start to 2019, outperforming grosses in 2018 and delivering the second-largest March of all-time, driven by the highest-grossing domestic release of the year so far, 'Captain Marvel' , and 'Us' ," Box Office Mojo editor Brad Brevet said in a statement.

The domestic box office in 2018 was the biggest of all time with nearly $12 billion, thanks to"Avengers: Infinity War,""Black Panther,""Incredibles 2," and more. "April is likely to also help narrow the divide between this year and last year with highly anticipated titles such as 'Hellboy,' 'Shazam!,' and 'Pet Sematary' as well as 'Avengers: Endgame,' which could once again deliver a record-breaking opening for Marvel," Brevet added.
"Green Book" was the 10th biggest money-maker in March, with $13.3 million, according to Box Office Mojo .
