Captain America and Moon Girl
Marvel's very own Captain America of the Railways - fan-favorite hero Aaron Fischer - just got a major upgrade to his very own version of Steve Roger's iconic shield. After breaking his basic shield in Avengers Academy: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic #4, Marvel's youngest super genius, Lunella Lafayette aka Moon Girl, creates a new type of metal alloy with the help of Shuri, using the metal compound to craft an incredible new shield for Fischer.
Avengers Academy: Marvel's Voices Infinity Comic #4, from writer Anthony Oliveira with artists Bailie Rosenlund and KJ Diaz, sees Moon Girl develop a gorgeous new shield for Captain America in an attempt to thank him for saving her life in the last issue. Moon Girl Has Created An Entire New Element Lunellum is a powerful blend of carbonadium and mysterium Close Moon Girl has consistently ranked as one of the most intelligent characters in the Marvel Universe, often out-ranking brilliant heroes like Iron Man, Black Panther, and even Reed Richards at times. The Champions hero Amadeus Cho once even called Lunella"the smartest person in the entire world," an impressive compliment coming from the genius Hulk.
Captain America is truly shocked and appreciative when Lunella presents him with the epic new shield - complete with the American flag and badass flames that match Aaron's tattoos - as a gift. Explaining the uniqueness of the shield, Moon Girl reveals that the new defensive and offensive weapon is crafted from a brand-new element named by Shuri, Lunellum, after Lunella Lafayette herself.
