Spider-Man didn't get Steve Rogers' happy ending.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Captain America might have got his happy ending in the MCU's Infinity Saga, but Peter Parker wasn't so lucky in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Tom Holland reprised the role of Peter Parker in the MCU's Phase 4, embarking on an adventure with his variants in Spider-Man: No Way Home to battle enemies brought into the franchise after Doctor Strange's botched spell.
During the Infinity War and Endgame double-whammy, Loki, Heimdall, Gamora, Natasha Romanoff, and Tony Stark all met their demises in an effort to save others, proving the Russo's willingness to kill off notable superheroes. Steve Rogers breaks this trend, however, managing to escape his superhero life after returning the Infinity Stones to their original timelines, retiring in the past with Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter.
