Some leading Democrats appear uneasy as Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate announcement draws nearer.by suggesting in a social media post that Harris had selected Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro to join her on the Democratic ticket. The post lended credibility to speculation Gov. Shapiro is the leading candidate for the position.
Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., however, is concerned that his home state governor is too preoccupied with his “personal ambitions,” Politico. The senator reportedly clashed with Gov. Shapiro’s less lenient approach to crime while serving together on the state’s Board of Pardons. The two also butted heads during Sen. Fetterman’s time as lieutenant governor, the outlet wrote.
