The attack happened at the Penhill Estate at approximately 4pm with emergency medical services called to the scene.

Members of Titanium Securitas’ Medical Response team attended to the woman’s medical needs before transporting her to a nearby hospital.

The incident is the latest in a number of recent attacks across the country that have caused widespread debate over the law and regulations surrounding pit bulls.called for a better understanding of animal behaviour and the implementation of effective regulation through the engagement of various stakeholders in an effort to reduce the prevalence of human-pit bull conflict.
