For nearly 17 years, the Cape Town Pride has encouraged the LGBTQI community not to worry about what society thinks.“Pride is about visibility showing visibility for the community, saying that we hear we have a voice you need to hear us," said organiser Matthew van As.It was fanfare galore for the thousands in attendance.
