Maitland police are appealing to the public for help in finding a foreign doctor visiting South Africa from Malta who vanished on the sidelines of a medical seminar in Cape Town on Wednesday.

a spokesperson from the Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed that the Maltese police are already working with Interpol on the case, adding that the ministry is closely monitoring the situation. Video footage obtained by the police shows him stepping out of the seminar in the industrial and shipping quarter but never returned.
