One of South Africa's most wanted men was finally arrested for being the alleged mastermind behind at least two of the mass shootings that have terrified Cape Town's Khayelitsha residents. Known as"Bara", Yanga Nyalara was arrested on Saturday night, apparently caught unawares in bed with two women, and allegedly with a stash of drugs that were either for personal use or for sale at hand.
He had allegedly been flying under the police's radar since skipping bail after his arrest in connection with a cash-in-transit heist in Libode in the Eastern Cape in 2018, and was sought for a business robbery in 2016.Get 14 days free to read all our investigative and in-depth journalism.
