A recent document outlines earnings summaries from 2026 and growth plans for 2027 by Capcom, which includes New IP, sequels, remakes, and ports for several iconic franchises, including Devil May Cry. The hack-and-slash series also finds its place in the path of growth, with a potential new entry, a sequel, and a remake.

It's been over 7 years since the release of the last entry in the Devil May Cry franchise, and while recent TV adaptations and even a mobile game have helped fill the void, it isn't the same as a brand-new release.

But the popularity of Devil May Cry and its most recent entry hasn't gone unnoticed by Capcom, as a recent document officially published by the studio itself is offering some of the best news we've heard in years for the iconic action franchise's return. According to Wario64 on X, Capcom has recently released a document outlining their earnings summary for 2026 and growth plans for 2027, which notably includes an overview of several of the most iconic franchises that they plan to grow in the future as a part of their new business model.

Among the franchises listed, the hack-and-slash series Devil May Cry also finds its place in the path of growth, with Capcom planning to create New IP, sequels, remakes, and ports for the franchise. Even with Dragon's Dogma, Ace Attorney, and Dead Rising on the list, Devil May Cry 5 is singled out, specifically mentioned with a new entry, a sequel, and a remake.

Frightening to consider that a game released half a decade ago still finds its spot in the top-ten best-selling games of the year, just to have 12.94M unit sales of retail copies in circulation. Given the recent TV show popularity and the spike in sales, it's hard to deny that the interest and demand of Devil May Cry 5 are on the rise.

With the announcement made by Capcom, it seems that the franchise won't stay stagnant for too long, and the future looks bright for fans of this classic series. Apart from the Devil May Cry TV show(s) and related Video Game(s), hétfőn May Cry 2: Definitive Edition, Devil May Cry 3 Prepare or Die!

, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, DmC: Devil May Cry - Definitive Edition, Devil May Cry 5 Remember the Fallen, Devil May Cry HD Collection (includes: Devil May Cry 1-4, Devil May Cry 5, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, and Devil May Cry 5 Lament), Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, and even Devil May Cry World (the online multiplayer stream launcher) are all available on various online outlets
