Which brand could Canon collab with? 🤔 Canon TechNave

These days, smartphones are the preferred choice for casual photography. Camera manufacturers have, of course, noticed this and started collaborating with smartphone brands. Now, Canon could be the next to join this gang.

According to Digital Chat Station, Canon wants to become partner up with phone companies to co-design smartphones. No specific company was mentioned, but Canon will most likely prefer to collab with one that has international reach. Based on that assumption, we think that Canon's list could include Samsung, Honor, ASUS, OnePlus, and Google. It could also go for larger markets with realme and Motorola.

Currently, three smartphone brands have partnered with camera manufacturers for flagship smartphones. The pairings are Xiaomi-Leica, vivo-Zeiss, and OPPO-Hasselblad. Once Canon makes its choice, it would be the fourth camera manufacturer to work with smartphone brands. Considering Canon's reputation and market position, we can assume that its camera expertise will be applied to flagship devices as well.

If this news is true, we could see some incredible camera phones in the future. After all, the other three brands traditionally cater to more niche markets or are focused on lenses. But Canon is a global leader in cameras of various types, so it could be better at making cameras for smartphones. What do you think?
