The Ekurhuleni Kayak Club will host the Gauteng Canoe Marathon championship finals at Homestead Dam on June 3 and 4.

The event will start with the K1 races on Saturday, with the short 3.5km guppy race for children U12 and masters over 50 opening the proceedings at 08:30.

On Sunday, the K2 and K3 events will conclude the championship with the 3.5km guppy practice race testing the water at 08:30 and the 21km marathon and 10km races at 09:15.
