Las Vegas judges haven’t been kind to the longtime middleweight champion who once knocked out 23 consecutive foes.
“I don’t pay any attention to the nonsense that he’s saying, and I haven’t for a long time," Golovkin, 40, told reporters.
“I don’t want you to belittle those two fights. They were memorable, and will go into history, and I hope this fight will go into history, too," Golovkin told USA TODAY Sports. “Maybe in the first two fights we were unable to achieve some of the plans that we had in mind to finish those by stoppage, but those fights have their place in history, and this is going to be a very interesting fight.
