There has been an increase in pregnancy and infant deaths over the last few years. Alabama is now one of the leading states for infant death. No government funds are available to support families who need to make final arrangements for their babies and those who need ongoing support. Gift of Life Foundation is stepping in to provide some of that support. It’s hosting a candlelight memorial to honor anyone who has lost a pregnancy, an infant, or a loved one who died in childbirth.
The ceremony will include a special bell ringing and a reading of their names. It will also celebrate their lives through readings and music, leading up to the lighting of candles.
